Most of our baseball caps are adjustable and have a snap back in the rear part of the hat. This allows us to sell a one-size-fits-all hat that can be adjusted for everyone's head. Buying a baseball cap for a sports lover is a great gift, as you know, for a fact they will love it and it will fit them no matter what.
How to clean, maintain and care for baseball hats
You might have seen the hack to clean your hats in the dishwasher, this is always a good option when you have a lot of hats to clean and not a big sentimental attachment to the hats. You have to make sure that the dishwasher is clean, sometimes there can be a lot of food residue at the bottom. If the dishwasher is dirty, this will not be good for the hats.
Another method of cleaning your caps is by making them soak in a bucket of warm water with detergent in it. Rub the areas on the cap that are dirty softly so as not to affect the material. Pat them down with a towel and give them time to fully dry before using or storing again.

Baseball Caps - History and Types of Baseball Cap
A baseball cap is usually a round, soft hat with a curved peak and it is often worn by players on the baseball team. It is used to protect their eyes from the sun during the game. A baseball cap has a logo of a sports team on the front, and an elastic band on the back, so that it fits the wearer's head size. Sometimes, the company logo appears on the front of the cap instead of the sports team logo if it's used for promotional purposes. If the United States had a national hit, it'd probably be the baseball cap - everybody wears it: truck drivers and mail carriers, women and children.
The earliest Baseball caps worn by the earliest baseball players first appeared in the early 1800s when they were made from straw. It may be that the baseball cap was just a variant of the yachting cap, but the first version of the cap closest to the one worn by today's players was in 1860 when Brooklyn Excelsior used it (later called the 'Brooklyn style' cap). It was soon adopted by many people. The peak of the cap was not so well structured in the 19th century, but it was later changed because of the protection of players' eyes from the sun.
When manufacturers in 1940 replaced buckram with latex rubber, they created what we now know as a baseball cap (a hat with a stiffener). Baseball cap producers claim that the biggest change in design has been only in the color of the fabric used for the hat. The structure of the hat is more or less the same. From the Detroit Tigers' logo, which was first used on the front of the baseball cap, it became an essential thing.
Baseball players usually wear hats made of wool, but you can use any material for them, including polyester or brushed cotton, depending on your preference. Caps without an adjustor are usually sewn in 6 sections, and have a small button on top covered by the same fabric. Ventilation allows for the creation of different types of caps. Some may have fabric eyelets, while others may be made entirely of net material. Interesting, but just the logo in front of a baseball cap must be made of thousands and thousands of stitches. The most complicated was the classic Miami Marlins logo consisting of 10,966 stitches.
Styles and Types of Baseball Caps
Today, we can distinguish two different styles of baseball caps:
- Tall Crown Baseball Cap;
- A soft crown baseball cap;
There are two types of hats: one with a high crown (often horizontally striped) and another with a softer crown (made of six to eight sections of fabric).
There are other types of baseball caps including:
- Classic-style hats (made of wool or synthetic material with the team's logo embroidered into the fabric)
- Baseball cap with standard hat sizes
- Baseball hat with adjustable strap or adjustment strap (usually adjustable back strap) in the back
- Baseball caps with stretchy fabric
- Twill Cap
- Authentic Trucker caps (plastic mesh caps with a foam front imprinting a specific logo or friends logo embroidered)
- Bucket hats
- There are many kinds of baseball-like caps of various materials for different purposes.
Until recently, baseball caps were made in standard hat sizes, which meant they fit most people well. But from 1980 on the market were hats in one size with an adjustable strap on the back. These caps fit everyone better than the older ones. We even have caps made of Lycra so that they can be "stretch fitted".
For example, in the United States, more than 40 million hats a year are sold, and New Era, one of the largest hat factories, produces 72,000 hats per week. It is clear that not all caps don't go only for sports clubs.
We identify a team by its cap, so baseball caps are still important parts of sports teams like logos or mascots. These caps are not limited to just baseball - they are used in other sports, including tennis or golf, and are even a part of military uniforms.
A baseball cap worn on the west coast of the United States is also used by sheriff's departments and state police. It looks like it is a better choice than the state police regular hat. For the rest of us, the baseball cap isn't just fashionable, but it's also functional.
