    Choosing the Right Glove Size

    Glove size is often misunderstood—bigger isn’t always better. In fact, a smaller glove gives young players more control, helping them position their body and glove properly to catch and secure the ball. Oversized gloves can feel awkward and be distracting, especially if the player struggles to close it properly.

    Fit and comfort are key. If a glove feels like it might slip off or can’t be easily closed, it’s not the right size. That’s why Wilson designs youth gloves with smaller hand openings and game-ready materials, reducing break-in time and offering a snug, secure fit.

    Choosing the right glove for your position is crucial to performance. Each position has specific glove features to meet its unique demands:

    Infield Gloves

    • Smaller with shallow pockets for quick ball transfer.

    • Youth sizes: 10.75”–11.75”

    • Adult baseball: 11.25”–12.25”

    • Fastpitch: 11”–12”

    • Slowpitch: Up to 13”

    Outfield Gloves

    • Larger with deeper pockets to secure fly balls and extend reach.
